Footy - Registration Flow Optimization
Footy is a platform that allows friend teams to participate in local football competitions. Their goal was to recruit more members to start new competitions. For this project, I designed a functional interface focused on generating more leads.
Goal & Approach
The main objective was to make the registration form as accessible and engaging as possible to increase the completion rate. Instead of a long, complex registration page with all fields on one screen, I opted for a step-by-step approach. This enhances the user experience by:
- Keeping the user focused on one task at a time.
- Reducing cognitive load, increasing the likelihood of form completion.
- Adding a personal touch, such as addressing the user by name in later steps.
Design & Style Guide
While designing this flow, I adhered to Footy’s existing style guide to ensure a seamless integration with their brand identity. This is reflected in:
- The use of their colors, typography, and buttons.
- Visual consistency with their existing platform.
- The informative “Why Footy?” section, which provides extra motivation for potential members.
Result
With this improved flow, signing up for Footy becomes a structured and intuitive experience. The form guides users naturally through the necessary steps, increasing the conversion rate.
